Cobblemon enthusiasts, big news! The Cobblemon mod has recently launched updates 1.5.1 and 1.5.2, which will be available in our CobblemonGG mod within a few weeks to download. These updates introduce new features and crucial bug fixes that enhance multiplayer experiences. Here's everything you need to know about the latest versions.

Update 1.5.1: More Than Just Bug Fixes

  • Sounds and Audio Improvements:
    • Renamed sound files for Relic Coin Sacks and introduced new sounds for Relic Coin Pouches when breaking and placing.
  • Visual and Interface Adjustments:
    • Readjusted Petilil portraits for a better fit in the game's interface.
    • Enhanced the stability of Pokémon taken from the Restoration Tank block.
  • Crafting Changes:
    • Made Mulch cheaper to craft, easing the gameplay for players engaged in farming and gardening activities.

Fixes in 1.5.1:

  • Restoration Tank and Item Handling:
    • Fixed a bug where adding organic material to the restoration tank with a right-click added the full stack count but only took one item.
    • Addressed a visual glitch causing Pokémon to appear as level 1 until they are battled due to uninitialized entity properties.
    • Fixed the missing Fossilized Drake from the Fossils item tag and resolved issues with the Gilded Chest block entity not being cleared on block break.
    • Solved compatibility issues with Supplementaries and various mods like Jade / WAILA.
  • Pokémon Specific Fixes:
    • Adjusted evolutions and battle mechanics for several Pokémon, including the correct categorization of Hisuian Decidueye as Grass/Fighting and fixing Pineco's evolution into Shulker Forretress.
    • Improved animations and corrected spawn conditions for Pokémon like Pidgey, Cyndaquil, Chimecho, and Tyrantrum.
    • Addressed multiple issues with battle effects, including the incorrect display of abilities like Hyper Cutter and Big Pecks and fixing bugs related to battle animations and effects.
  • General Stability and Miscellaneous Fixes:
    • Enhanced the functionality of the restoration tank and fixed various crashes related to it and the fossil machine.
    • Addressed issues with the game's visual effects, such as particle effects not spawning correctly or lasting too long.

Move Particle Effects Introduced in 1.5.1:

In a significant visual upgrade, Cobblemon 1.5.1 has introduced new particle effects for a variety of moves, enhancing the visual feedback and enjoyment during battles. Here are the moves that now feature enhanced particle effects:

  • Offensive Moves: Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch
  • Defensive and Status Moves: Confusion, Cotton Guard, Growl, Minimize, Protect, Swords Dance, Sand Attack, Poison Powder, Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Powder, Rage Powder, Spore, Thunder Wave
  • Quick Moves: Quick Attack

  • Particle Effects: Cobblemon 1.5.1 introduces an array of new particle effects, adding a visual flair to the gameplay. This update includes particle effects for 18 moves and 5 status effects, as well as particles for stat increases and decreases. Additional particle effects have also been added for various Poké Balls.
  • Dyeable Wooloo and Dubwool: In a delightful twist, players can now dye their Wooloo and Dubwool, adding a touch of personalization to these adorable sheep Pokémon.

Update 1.5.2: Quick Fixes for Server Stability

Following the release of 1.5.1, a few issues were identified that affected server performance. As a result, the Cobblemon team released update 1.5.2 to address these concerns.

Key Fixes:

  • Wooloo and Dubwool Dyeing: An issue where dyeing these Pokémon could cause server instability has been resolved.
  • Gimmighoul Glitch: Fixes were implemented to correct visual glitches with Gimmighoul that affected player PCs and party interfaces on servers.
  • Dye Protection: Players can no longer dye other people's sheep Pokémon, ensuring respect for player property.
