Welcome to the Cobblemon.GG Server Guide!

Hey there, future Pokemon Master, welcome to the Cobblemon.GG. 

 The place that you and your Pokemon’s can chill and have fun. Get ready for an adventure packed with wild Pokemon encounters, awesome battles, and a chance to find a shiny legendary pokemons. Let’s dive in!

Getting Started: Your First Steps

1. Installing The Mod Manager & Cobblemon.GG Files

• Install Modrinth mod manager (you can also use other managers like Prism Launcher): https://modrinth.com/app
• Press the “Download the Modrinth App” button.

• Use this link to access the official Cobblemon.GG modpack install page: https://modrinth.com/modpack/cobblemongg
• If you have any issues with the installation, get into the Modrinth App, open the search bar from the Modrinth app, type cobblemongg, and download the one with our logo on it.

• Open your library, and run the Cobblemon.GG modpack.

(NOTE: Make sure that you logged in to your Minecraft account in the Modrinth App. To check this, simply click on Steve at the top left of the screen, if it says Not signed in, press it and then sign in; if not, you are already signed in.)

2. Joining the Server

• Open your library, then press Launch button to run the game.

• Open the game, and enjoy the CobblemonGG universe! Voila! You’re in! (or just press the Continue button at the start, it will automatically redirect you)

If you don’t see the server automatically added, press add server and type cobblemon.gg IP to login to the server.

How To Play

1. I Logged In, What Now?

• Upon your first login, you’ll be prompted to pick your starter Pokemon. Will it be Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, or maybe something from a newer generation? Choose wisely – this little buddy will be your first companion! Press M to proceed.

2. Starting Items 

• Upon joining, you’ll receive:
  • Leather gear (helmet, chest plate, leggings, boots)
  • 64 steaks for sustenance
  • 5 PokeBalls to start catching Pokemon
  • Wooden sword and pickaxe for basic survival and mining
  • + a beautiful Pokepedia!

Since you got your items, and picked your Pokemon, here is your answer; exploring!

3. Exploring the World

• Use the Random Teleportation Portal (RTP) at spawn to teleport to a random location.
• Alternatively, you can use the /rtp command to random teleport. Note that there is a cooldown for using this command, so plan your explorations wisely.
• You will be able to choose between 4 different locations. Overworld, Resource World, Nether and The End. (we highly recommend you to pick the overworld first, since it’s safer and the pokemons are easier to catch at the beginning)

Economy System

Economy 

• Money can be used to purchase items, PokeBalls, and other essentials from the shop. To reach out the shop, type /warp shop to teleport to the shop location or type /shop to reach the shop page from anywhere.
• In the shop menu, you will be able to pick between two options, Vanilla and Cobblemon. On the Vanilla page, you can buy and also sell your regular Minecraft items; for example mining materials, plants, foods, monster drops and blocks. At the Cobblemon page, you can buy new PokeBalls, and as a result, you will be able to catch more Pokemons!

(Note: Some items have a purchase limit to ensure fairness for all players.)

Gym Halls

Gyms

• Use /warp gymhall to teleport to the Gym Hall.
• Complete gym leader quests and defeat gym leaders to earn badges and rewards.

Gym Challenges

1. Gym Leaders and Quests:

• Each gym is led by a Gym Leader specializing in a particular type of Pokemon (Fire, Steel, Water, Fighting, Grass, Psychic, Electric, and Rock).
• To challenge a Gym Leader, you must complete specific quests assigned by them. These quests may involve battling certain wild Pokemon, gathering specific items, or proving your skills in various ways.

2. Defeating Gym Leaders:

• Once you’ve completed the required quests, you can challenge the Gym Leader to a battle.
• Prepare your team carefully, considering the Gym Leader’s specialty type. For example, if you’re challenging a Water-type Gym Leader, Electric and Grass-type Pokémon would be advantageous.
• Defeating the Gym Leader will earn you a gym badge, which signifies your victory and progress as a trainer.

Gym Badges

1. Earning Badges:

• Each victory against a Gym Leader rewards you with a unique badge.
• Collecting these badges is crucial for showcasing your skills and proving your power as a Pokemon trainer.

2. Displaying Badges:

• You can display your badges in your inventory or in a special badge case.
• Badges not only show your accomplishments but also unlock new opportunities and challenges as you progress through the game.

3. Checking Badges:

• You can use the /card <player> command to check other players’ badges and Pokemons. Also, use /card to check your own card.

Gym Battles: Tips and Strategies

1. Team Preparation:

• Balance your team with diverse types of Pokemon to handle various challenges.
• Train your Pokemon to have a mix of offensive and defensive moves to adapt to different battle situations.

2. Understanding Type Advantages:

• Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of different Pokemon types is key to winning battles. For example:
  • Fire-type is strong against Grass-type but weak against Water-type.
  • Electric-type is strong against Water-type but weak against Ground-type.
• Use this knowledge to plan your strategy and choose the right Pokemon for each battle.

3. Item Usage:

• Don’t forget to use items like potions, revives, and status healing items during battles. These can make a significant difference, especially in tough gym battles.

Events & Rewards

PokeBall Loot:

• Find PokeBall loot scattered around the world for random items and surprises.

Login Streak:

• Maintain a daily login streak to earn rewards. The longer your streak, the better the rewards! Type /loginstreak to get your rewards.

Playtime Rewards:

• Earn rewards based on your total play time. We do not encourage you to stay AFK though; penguins and ducks are doing regular checks around the world. Type /playtime to check your current playtime, and also get your rewards.

Random Unscramble Events:

• Keep your eyes on the chat, the unscramble game pops up randomly for everyone to solve the word with great rewards. First come first serve, so type fast!

Raids:

• Participate in raids to battle powerful Pokemon and earn rare items. Get your Pokemon and start fighting!

We also have lots of secret events but we can’t reveal those here, so pay attention to everything going around the world.

Overworld Systems

Overworld, Your World

Finding a Pokemon:

• After using RTP, explore the wilderness to find and catch a wild Pokemon. Different biomes host different species, so happy hunting! Shiny and legendary Pokemons will be hiding in the wilderness!

Claim & Set Home System:

• You can protect a territory from other players by claiming land. Find a good spot for yourself, then type /claim.

• Press the Overview button, then click on the first green icon. It will automatically claim the spot around you.
• If you want to increase the size of your claim, click on the Locked Claim Slot button. (it will cost you 2,500 PokeCoins for each and increase gradually)

• If you want to teleport to your claim location, simply right-click on the purple icon on the Overview screen.
• Finally, to see your claim from a better perspective, open the Map menu (inside of the claim panel) and check your surroundings.

• Also, if you want to save the place as your home, simply type /sethome home to set a home location. You can return to this spot anytime using /home home.

What is Cobblemon

Cobblemon is an exciting mod for Minecraft; that lets you experience the joy of Pokemon in the blocky world you love. Imagine wandering through your favorite Minecraft biomes and suddenly spotting a Pikachu or a Charizard, or maybe a Penguin (a what?)! That’s the magic of Cobblemon! (we won’t be spoiling much about cobblemon.gg yet, so don’t get too excited ;))

What Should You Expect?:

1. Pokemons, Lots of Pokemons!!!!: You’ll find a variety of Pokemon from different generations. Just like in the Pokemon games, you can catch them, train them, and even battle with them.
2. Amazing Models and Animations: Each Pokemon is beautifully modeled and animated (we are still working on it…), so they look and move just like they do in the original games. It’s like having your own little Pokemon world inside Minecraft.
3. Battle System: You can engage in Pokemon battles either with wild Pokemon or other trainers, just like in the Pokemon games. It’s a great way to test your skills and grow stronger. Also, you can battle with your friends too!
4. Catch ‘Em All: Use PokeBalls to catch wild Pokemons. There are different types of PokeBalls with varying catch rates, adding a layer of strategy to your gameplay. You will be able to craft every PokeBall by yourself.
5. Evolutions: As your Pokemon gain experience and level up, they’ll evolve, and unlock new abilities and forms. It’s always exciting to see your Pokemon grow and change.
6. Exploration: Different Pokemons appear in different biomes, encouraging you to explore the vast Minecraft world to find and catch them all.

Fun Community

• Quests and Challenges: Cobblemon includes quests that you can complete for rewards, adding extra goals and fun to your adventure. We will be adding a lot of custom and incredible quests soon, but that’s all we can reveal for now.
• Customization: You can customize your Pokemon’s abilities, making them unique and tailored to your playstyle. Also, RNG is there, so it won’t be that easy to be the best GYM Leader on the server.
• Play with Friends: Cobblemon supports multiplayer, so you can trade Pokemon and battle with friends, making the experience even more enjoyable. With our huge community; you will be able to find new friends, and play with them!

Technical Side:

• Great Anti-Cheat System: It’s designed to stop any other popular Minecraft mods, like X-ray mining mod or auto-click PvP mod, also all cheat softwares are getting controlled by our anti-cheat plugins.
• Performance: With our new and updated optimizations, your game will perform insanely even on lower-end systems, with the power of Fabric, you won’t be getting low FPS anymore!

In essence, Cobblemon merges the best parts of Pokemon and Minecraft, and Cobblemon.gg will bring this to the table with a great combination. Enjoy exploring, catching, and battling your favorite Pokemon!
