Evolution Methods Overview
Cobblemon supports a wide variety of evolution methods faithful to the mainline Pokémon games. Some evolutions are straightforward (leveling up), while others require specific items, conditions, or actions. This guide covers every method available on CobblemonGG.
Level-Up Evolutions
The most common method. Pokémon evolve when they reach a certain level. Some level-up evolutions have additional conditions like time of day, specific locations, or knowing a particular move. On CobblemonGG, you can level Pokémon through wild battles, daily battles, Elite Four farming, and raids.
Stone Evolutions
Use evolution stones on compatible Pokémon to trigger evolution. Stones can be found while mining, purchased from shops, or obtained as rewards. Available stones include Fire Stone, Water Stone, Thunder Stone, Leaf Stone, Moon Stone, Sun Stone, Dusk Stone, Dawn Stone, Ice Stone, and Shiny Stone.
Trade Evolutions & Link Cable
Pokémon that traditionally evolve through trading can evolve using the Link Cable item in Cobblemon. This means you don't need another player to evolve Pokémon like Gengar, Alakazam, or Machamp.
Some trade evolutions require the Pokémon to hold a specific item while using the Link Cable. For example, Scyther needs to hold a Metal Coat, and Slowpoke needs a King's Rock.
Friendship Evolutions
Some Pokémon evolve when their friendship level is high enough. Build friendship by battling together, walking with your Pokémon, and keeping them in your party. Pokémon like Eevee (into Espeon/Umbreon), Riolu (into Lucario), and Togepi (into Togetic) evolve through friendship.

Mega Evolution
Mega Evolution is available on CobblemonGG. You need a Mega Bracelet (crafted using a Nether Star from the shop for 3,000 PokeCoins) and the specific Mega Stone for your Pokémon.
Mega Stones can be obtained from the Karma Shop, daily battle streaks (30 days), Elite Four rewards (4th completion), player shops, crates, dungeons, and the auction house. Equip the Mega Bracelet in your off-hand, then click the Mega icon before selecting your move in battle.
